Global SinoPhoto Awards 2021

Tell your story of China – imagine, interpret, inspire

Blick Rothenberg are delighted to sponsor the Global SinoPhoto Awards 2021, an event which invites professional and amateur photographers from any location, background, and nationality to tell their Chinese stories to imagine, interpret, and inspire connections between Chinese culture and the rest of the world.

The highlights of this year’s awards include the exhibitions secured for the winners in the UK and China.  These will be staged with the Lau China Institute, King’s College London (the largest, independent China research centre); Museum of East Asian Art (a museum dedicated to Chinese arts, with the largest collection of artefacts in the UK) as well as the World Architecture Festival, China.

Judges of the competition include Patrik Schumacher, Principal of Zaha Hadid Architects Ltd.; Kim Hoang, senior picture editor of Save the Children and the Guardian; and Yao Lu, professor at the Central Academy of Fine Arts, Beijing.

The organisation’s mission is to connect East with West, business with culture.

Winnie Cao, Blick Rothenberg Partner and head of the China desk, said: “We are excited to support this unique and meaningful competition. Having helped support business interests between the UK and China over the last twelve years, I strongly believe that it is ultimately the exchange of culture as well as the co-understanding between people that builds ties and bonds – from business and beyond. Photography is a powerful way for us to share our experiences and perspectives and find common ground from business and beyond.”

Submissions are open until 5 December 2021. You can find more information here: https://www.sinophoto-awards.com/
