BR supports flexible working (BRighter working) and aims to allow you to balance your life with the needs of colleagues and the high expectations of our clients.

Our values are our motivations

We have four key values, collaborative, authentic, respect and dynamic and these values are at the heart of everything we do. We are looking for people who also believe in these drivers as we work together to achieve success for both our colleagues and our clients alike.

The role

What does the role entail?

In this role you will work with UK clients in providing a dedicated outsourcing service to support businesses with their day-to-day accounting needs. Clients include UK start-up businesses without in-house accounting expertise to more established SMEs seeking additional administrative support.

You will be involved in tasks such as bookkeeping, preparation of management accounts, account reconciliation, completion of VAT returns and reconciliation, payroll processing, arranging bank payments and liaising with the wider accounts team. You could also manage ad hoc queries from clients and work directly with HMRC.

This would suit someone with a desire to further their education with a professional qualification whilst receiving relevant experience and on-the-job training within a top London practice. For candidates, excellent communications skills are a must, as are the personal skills necessary to work as a team member and maintain good relations with clients. It is expected that candidates will be able to demonstrate strong numerical and analytical skills.

This role will see you complete the AAT Level 3 & 4, and you may have to opportunity to continue on to complete the ACCA/ACA following successful completion.

This role will start ASAP and will join our induction for our January early careers cohort.

  • Are dynamic in their approach and respectful of other people’s opinions.
  • Want to be more than just a team member, someone who wants to join a family of likeminded individuals.
  • Want to work in a medium-sized firm such as ours – we are not a cut-down version of the Big 4 but exist very much on our own terms and in our own right.
  • Are inquisitive and enjoy learning new concepts.

Academic Requirements

  • Obtained a minimum grade C in GCSE Maths and English Language (or equivalent).
  • You should be on track to achieve (or have achieved) a minimum of 112 UCAS points or 300 for those who studied before 2017.
