Key accountabilities

As a US/UK Tax Senior Associate,

You will be preparing US and UK tax returns based on client data provided in various formats under the overall support of a line manager.

The role of a tax assistant involves the following:

Continuing to develop an overall understanding of the tax return preparation processes and develop your ability to manage your work;

Sense-checking the client’s position and be able to discuss the reasons for a payment being due, a nil liability or a repayment with the reviewer;

Working with client to prevent double taxation. This is demonstrated through the quality of your work in terms of foreign versus US sourcing of income on a US return and the claim for foreign tax credits on a US and UK tax return;

Able to identify and understand tax filing requirements and the consequences of US ownership of non-US entities and vice versa;

Reviewing straight forward tax returns;

Self-reviewing your work before passing it on to a manager for review and ensuring your numbers match the returns;

Listing the items of information needed to complete a tax return. This will involve identifying missing information and flagging potential tax issues for managers.

The role

As an Audit and Accounts Manager, you will manage a portfolio of audit clients alongside the preparation of accounts and Corporation Tax computations/returns for limited companies. The main purpose of the role is to ensure compliance with GAAP and practical guidance is provided on regulatory matters such as tax and VAT regulations, requirements of UK law and the principles of good governance. You will have strong experience of working within practice and have exposure to the essential elements of client service and delivery. You will ideally be working within a managerial capacity already or aspiring to as part of your journey. You will become part of the management team including department work planning, appraisals directly guiding more junior team members on both technical and day to day matters.

An accountancy qualification such as ACA or ACCA are essential for this role. As part of the management your journey will continue via mentorship by the senior management team to provide soft skills development to include client and staff management. Personal coaching will also be available as your journey continues beyond formal qualifications tailored to your own individual aspirations and can even help you plot your route to Director/Partner.

The role

An opportunity has arisen for a talented manager to join a growing, award winning, corporate tax team.

The role will suit an ambitious manager with experience advising on a wide range of matters, from complex tax compliance through to bespoke advisory projects. Your experience may cover M&A transactions, complex real estate transactions, or be focused on OMB advisory, our diverse client base means there are wide-ranging opportunities. Whilst the role will be predominantly advisory focused, you will have a portfolio of complex compliance clients to manage.

Key responsibilities and duties will include the following:

  • Provision of tax advisory services to new and existing clients.
  • Providing tax structuring, tax due diligence and restructuring advice on a wide range of transactions.
  • Carrying out detailed technical research.
  • Dealing with ad-hoc technical queries as these arise from the corporate tax team and from other areas of the business.
  • Taking responsibility for the delivery of high quality compliance and reporting services for a portfolio of clients.
  • Being the first point of contact for many clients.
  • Recruitment, supervision and training of junior staff.
  • Being involved in business development and proposal activity.
  • Ensuring all risk procedures are adhered to.

You will be involved with a wide range of clients, so experience dealing with clients across different sectors is desirable but not essential.

The ideal candidate would be ACA and/or CTA qualified and have post qualification experience.

The role

This role has arisen due to growth of the firm and will join a small but growing team of an FP&A Analyst, FP&A Senior Manager and Finance Director.

Ideally you are a recently qualified accountant (2+ years PQE) with experience in financial planning and analysis and are looking to take the next step in your career. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone looking to move into a more strategic, business-facing role within a high-growth environment.

We’re looking for a driven individual who wants to grow with us, someone who sees this role as a key part of their professional development in FP&A. You’ll be a crucial member of a finance team on a mission to be truly best-in-class, supporting high impact business decisions with clear, insightful financial analysis.

Reporting to the FP&A Senior Manager, you’ll work closely with both revenue generating teams and core business support functions. You’ll take ownership of key aspects of the budget and forecast cycles, support the production of management information, and provide valuable insight to help the business achieve its goals.

  • Business Partnering with Heads of Department to ensure continuous understanding of Department specific key performance indicators and key drivers for any variances to targets
  • Support Heads of Department on finance matters to ensure that we meet financial commitments and use data to make informed business decisions
  • Take ownership of the preparation of the Annual Budget and quarterly forecasting models for specific departments across Blick Rothenberg, to build fair and accurate forecasts for the business
  • Preparation and distribution of monthly financial reports in a timely manner, to the CFO and Senior Leadership to enable clear understanding of the Departments’ progress against targets and identification of any risks or opportunities to the business
  • Analysis of monthly management information, offering actionable insights and
  • Support in development of reporting on Tableau and other monthly reporting in excel, to drive continuous improvement in financial data and analysis
  • Ad hoc project work to provide additional analysis where required, to Heads of Department, Senior Leadership and the Azets Group

  • Qualified Accountant (ACA, CIMA, ACCA or equivalent) with 2+years PQE, a good understanding of all primary financial statements and with experience of working in an FP&A function
  • Ability to manipulate and analyse large volumes of data with excellent financial modelling and analytical skills
  • Attention to detail with a methodical approach
  • Excellent communication skills and are confident in talking to people across the business at different levels of seniority
  • Demonstrated ability to build strong professional relationships and initiative to drive things forward
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel with use of Planning Analytics / Tableau an advantage
  • Experience of a medium/large standalone business or a similar role in a division of a larger organisation
  • Experience in managing and team / line management
  • Excellent interpersonal skills. Be a strong team player with a sense of ownership and initiative to drive things forward.
  • Knowledge of the professional services industry (preferred but not essential)

The role

As a US/UK Tax Manager is expected to manage a comprehensive client list, provide line management and to make a significant contribution to the operational success of the Firm through participation in Management Committee Meetings and through committee membership and/or leadership. You will have a direct contribution to the achievements of the performance targets, aims and objectives of the business. The main purpose of the role is to advise your clients in connection with their tax affairs. You will ideally be working within a managerial capacity already or aspiring to as part of your journey. You will become part of the management team including department work planning, appraisals directly guiding more junior team members on both technical and day to day matters.

A qualification such as an ACA/ATT/CTA are essential for this role. As part of the management your journey will continue via mentorship by the senior management team to provide soft skills development to include client and staff management. Personal coaching will also be available as your journey continues beyond formal qualifications tailored to your own individual aspirations and can even help you plot your route to Director/Partner.

Key accountabilities

As a Private Client Tax Manager, you will provide advice to clients in connection with their tax affairs and be responsible for managing day-to-day aspects of your client portfolio including billing, delegation and monitoring work in progress. Additionally, you will also oversee developing new work from existing clients and business development. You will have strong experience of working within practice and have exposure to the essential elements of client service and delivery.

Key accountabilities

As an Assistant Manager your main responsibilities will be:

  • Providing an efficient, client focussed and proactive service to meet the needs of private clients.
  • Working with directors and managers on technical assignments.
  • Managing day to day client portfolio including billing and monitoring work in progress.
  • Ensuring that the firm’s risks are managed appropriately.
  • Liaising with HMRC in relation to client matters and dealing with enquiries from HMRC.

  • To review personal tax returns prepared by more junior members of staff / prepare complex compliance cases.

The role

As a Manager within the Trust and Family Office team you will responsible for;

  • Managing individual HNW client relationships, including trustees and executors, as their primary point of contact.

Key accountabilities

An opportunity has arisen for a talented manager to join a growing, award winning, corporate tax team.

The role will suit an ambitious manager with experience advising on a wide range of matters, from complex tax compliance through to bespoke advisory projects. Your experience may cover M&A transactions, complex real estate transactions, or be focused on OMB advisory, our diverse client base means there are wide-ranging opportunities. Whilst the role will be predominantly advisory focused, you will have a portfolio of complex compliance clients to manage.

Key responsibilities and duties will include the following:

  • Provision of tax advisory services to new and existing clients.
  • Providing tax structuring, tax due diligence and restructuring advice on a wide range of transactions.
  • Carrying out detailed technical research.
  • Dealing with ad-hoc technical queries as these arise from the corporate tax team and from other areas of the business.
  • Taking responsibility for the delivery of high quality compliance and reporting services for a portfolio of clients.
  • Being the first point of contact for many clients.
  • Recruitment, supervision and training of junior staff.
  • Being involved in business development and proposal activity.
  • Ensuring all risk procedures are adhered to.

You will be involved with a wide range of clients, so experience dealing with clients across different sectors is desirable but not essential.

The ideal candidate would be ACA and/or CTA qualified and have post qualification experience.

The role

We are looking for someone to Join our internal BAU support team as a 3rd line support technician. we are looking to find someone to provide advanced technical support for IT infrastructure, systems, and services, ensuring high availability, performance, and security. This role handles complex incidents and requests escalated from 1st and 2nd line support, supports project delivery which would be handed down from the Service Delivery Manager and Service desk manager.

You will also be required to be a part of upgrades to internal systems when they available to either implement or be available for support if required.

The Candidate should be able to show they have the skills and experience as outlined in the job spec, aswell as the ability to be able to work as part of a team and help out 1st line and 2nd line even if its outside their role.

Key accountabilities

An opportunity has arisen for a talented assistant manager to join the VAT team within our growing, award winning, corporate tax team.

This role will suit an ambitious VAT Associate or Senior Associate with experience advising on a wide range of issues and sectors, from supporting clients and internal teams with more complex queries arising from compliance through to bespoke advisory projects. Your day to day experience will include advising our clients on real estate transactions, partial exemption and VAT recovery issues, place of establishment advice for multi-national clients and supporting negotiations with HMRC. The role also offers the opportunity to become involved with customs duty focused international supply chain projects. The role is predominantly advisory focused with very limited indirect tax compliance.

Key responsibilities and duties will include the following:

  • Provision of VAT and customs duty advisory services to new and existing clients.
  • Providing VAT due diligence, VAT structuring and restructuring advice on a wide range of transactions.
  • Advising our clients on cutting edge developments in VAT legislation and case law as well as changes in HMRC policy.
  • Being the first point of contact for many clients.
  • Being involved in business development and proposal activity.
  • Carrying out detailed technical research.
  • Dealing with ad-hoc technical queries as these arise from the compliance teams and from other areas of the business.
  • Supporting the delivery of VAT technical training internally and helping to draft VAT focused content for client alerts and press releases.
  • Ensuring all risk procedures are adhered to.

You will be involved with a wide range of clients, so broad indirect tax experience across a range of sectors is desirable but not essential.

The ideal candidate would be CTA qualified or part qualified (indirect tax route), or ATT qualified and prepared to study towards CTA.
