Key accountabilities

As an Assistant your main responsibilities will be:

  • Providing an efficient, client focussed and proactive service to meet the needs of private clients.
  • Working with directors and managers on technical assignments.
  • Managing day to day client portfolio including billing and monitoring work in progress.
  • Ensuring that the firm’s risks are managed appropriately.
  • Liaising with HMRC in relation to client matters and dealing with enquiries from HMRC.
  • To liaise proactively with clients on advisory matters.
  • Preparing personal and partnership tax return

You must either be already studying for ATT (possibly part qualified) or keen to undertake ATT/CTA studies.

The role

What is the role?

Providing on-site support for our audit clients to include planning, day to day managing of workload and liaising with clients from a mixed portfolio of industries and turnover.

Opportunity to complete audit assignments, whilst building and maintaining strong relationships with new and established clients.

You will be working and collaborating with other members of the audit team and the wider department as necessary to provide high quality client service.

As part of your position, you will have exposure to mentoring and training new starters within the team.

Some assignments may require travel as you work more closely with some of your audit clients.

The role

This role has arisen due to growth of the firm and will sit alongside the current Financial Planning Analyst as part of the FP&A team. 

You will play a major role in the Budget and Forecast process for the firm as well as play a crucial role in the production and understanding of management information, offering insight to help the firm meet its goals

Key accountabilities

Business Planning

  • Play a major role with the planning model built using bottom up capacity driven modelling at a person level as well as top down sales-based forecasting.
  • Responsibility for helping to maintain the monthly rolling forecast model
  • Play a major role with cashflow forecasting and analysis         

Analysis

  • Ensure accuracy of MI production and analysis of key trends to flag risk and opportunity
  • Provide analysis of performance data across the partner group and at firm level
  • Cost analysis to optimise profitability and deliver budget margins

Skills & experience

  • Qualified Accountant (ACA, CIMA, ACCA or equivalent) with a good understanding of all primary financial statements
  • Experience of a medium/large standalone business or a similar role in a division of a larger organisation
  • Ability to manipulate and analyse large volumes of data with excellent modelling and analytical skills
  • SQL database knowledge preferred
  • Use of Planning Analytics / Tableau an advantage
  • Attention to detail with a methodical approach
  • Exceptional proven financial modelling and analytical skills
  • Demonstrable commercial finance skills, ideally with experience working in an FP&A function

Key accountabilities

As a US/UK Tax Manager or Senior Manager, you will have primary responsibility for a portfolio of US/UK connected private clients, many of whom have businesses at the centre of their world. Responsible as part of the Entrepreneurial  Private Client team for the development and progression of members of that team, including line management responsibilities. You will be assisting with the management of all aspects of the tax compliance process and wider relationship management. In addition to this you will be assisting a line manager with the preparation of complex tax returns. Overall, you will have responsibility to partner group for: Recovery (client portfolio); Utilisation (self and team); Line Management of team members.

Skills & experience

EA and ATT qualifications are essential in order to have the baseline knowledge of their peers who have come through the USUK graduate training scheme. CTA is desirable but not essential.

An opportunity has arisen for a talented manager to join a growing, award winning, corporate tax team.  

The role will suit an ambitious manager with experience advising on a wide range of matters, from complex tax compliance through to bespoke advisory projects.  Your experience may cover M&A transactions, complex real estate transactions, or be focused on OMB advisory, our diverse client base means there are wide-ranging opportunities.  Whilst the role will be predominantly advisory focused, you will have a portfolio of complex compliance clients to manage.  

Please note that we are open to flexible working arrangements for this position (for example term time only)

Key responsibilities and duties will include the following:

  • Provision of tax advisory services to new and existing clients.
  • Providing tax structuring, tax due diligence and restructuring advice on a wide range of transactions.
  • Carrying out detailed technical research.
  • Dealing with ad-hoc technical queries as these arise from the corporate tax team and from other areas of the business.
  • Taking responsibility for the delivery of high quality compliance and reporting services for a portfolio of clients.
  • Being the first point of contact for many clients.
  • Recruitment, supervision and training of junior staff.
  • Being involved in business development and proposal activity.
  • Ensuring all risk procedures are adhered to.

Key accountabilities

As a Management Accountant, you will be responsible for maintaining accurate accounting records, filing VAT Returns and preparing insightful management accounts and commentaries for a large portfolio of clients across various sectors. You will be responsible for all elements of the month end process, including posting journals and preparing working papers. You may also be involved in ad hoc financial tasks such as preparing cash flow forecasts and budgeting. You will have strong experience of working within practice and have exposure to the essential elements of client service and delivery.

The role

This opportunity will be working within our International Outsourced Accounting department. Our specialist services are designed to support the back office accounting and management reporting functions of a wide range of international business as they expand. This allows our clients to invest their resources where they are needed most on building new markets while we look after the accounting.

The Manager has the primary task of controlling the workflow on a portfolio of clients, dealing with technical queries as they arise and completing quality control reviews in a timely and accurate fashion. This requires technical knowledge, attention to detail and an ability to organise the workloads of others. The Manager is a key individual in building and maintaining strong relationships with key individuals at the client.

You will also have responsibility to review, management reports, VAT returns and registrations, payment runs, and the client billing process. You will also be the primary contact with senior client contacts, typically Financial Controllers and CFO level who will be based overseas along with the clients UK based operational team.

The role

As a 2nd Line IT Support Analyst, you will provide technical IT support on escalated calls from the first line and assist them while working on a call as well as working independently on technical tasks as instructed by senior staff. A strong experience of working within a professional services background and have exposure to the essential elements of client service and delivery.
