My 'Why' is to help ambitious people build, grow and scale brilliant businesses
For over two decades I’ve been building and leading high-performance teams in a wide range of sectors, working for and with businesses of many different shapes and sizes, regularly for initiatives that broke new ground commercially. I’ve worked in manufacturing, IT services, management consulting, business process outsourcing and professional services. For large, £bn+ multinationals and scaling, pre-profit regionals.
As Head of Growth at Blick Rothenberg, my intent is to deliver more predictable and sustainable growth across the business, focusing on three core areas – client growth, intellectual growth and personal growth.
I’ve spent the last decade in the scale-up ecosystem, helping make the UK the best place in the world to scale a business. Complementing my role as Head of Growth, I have built a portfolio of experience, expertise and activities with one golden thread – organisational growth delivered through, and by, highly motivated, engaged and aligned people.
I am co-chair of the People, Talent & Leadership Committee at the ScaleUp Institute; work as a Group Chair at Vistage, the world’s largest private advisory group for CEOs; am a Visiting Fellow at the Bettany Centre for Entrepreneurship at Cranfield University; have designed and led a three-time award winning scale-up programme; and am passionately committed to leveraging my broad skill set and extensive network for the benefit of the fastest growing businesses in the UK.
I’ve also been a FA Level 1 coach for five years, in grassroots youth football. It’s taught me that, no matter how hard work gets, nothing is as tough as teaching the wing-back system to a group of 12 year olds!
