As a US/UK Tax Manager is expected to manage a comprehensive client list, provide line management and to make a significant contribution to the operational success of the Firm through participation in Management Committee Meetings and through committee membership and/or leadership. You will have a direct contribution to the achievements of the performance targets, aims and objectives of the business. The main purpose of the role is to advise your clients in connection with their tax affairs. You will ideally be working within a managerial capacity already or aspiring to as part of your journey. You will become part of the management team including department work planning, appraisals directly guiding more junior team members on both technical and day to day matters.

A qualification such as an ACA/ATT/CTA are essential for this role. An opportunity has arisen for a talented assistant manager to join the VAT team within our growing, award winning, corporate tax team.

This role will suit an ambitious VAT Associate or Senior Associate with experience advising on a wide range of issues and sectors, from supporting clients and internal teams with more complex queries arising from compliance through to bespoke advisory projects. Your day to day experience will include advising our clients on real estate transactions, partial exemption and VAT recovery issues, place of establishment advice for multi-national clients and supporting negotiations with HMRC. The role also offers the opportunity to become involved with customs duty focused international supply chain projects. The role is predominantly advisory focused with very limited indirect tax compliance.

Key responsibilities and duties will include the following:

• Provision of VAT and customs duty advisory services to new and existing clients.
• Providing VAT due diligence, VAT structuring and restructuring advice on a wide range of transactions.
• Advising our clients on cutting edge developments in VAT legislation and case law as well as changes in HMRC policy.
• Being the first point of contact for many clients.
• Being involved in business development and proposal activity.
• Carrying out detailed technical research.
• Dealing with ad-hoc technical queries as these arise from the compliance teams and from other areas of the business.
• Supporting the delivery of VAT technical training internally and helping to draft VAT focused content for client alerts and press releases.
• Ensuring all risk procedures are adhered to.

You will be involved with a wide range of clients, so broad indirect tax experience across a range of sectors is desirable but not essential.

The ideal candidate would be CTA qualified or part qualified (indirect tax route), or ATT qualified and prepared to study towards CTA.

As a Management Accountant, you will have responsibility for the accounting on a portfolio of clients. You will be responsible for maintaining client records and completing accurate management accounts, VAT returns and other regulatory filings. The main duty of this role is to prepare monthly or quarterly management accounts and VAT returns for a large portfolio of clients across various sectors. You will also be involved in processing monthly data, posting month end journals, producing month end management reports with supporting documentation and Ad hoc financial tasks. You will have strong experience of working on management accounts in either a practice or industry setting; you will have a strong eye for detail and be able to manage your own workflow as well as being able to work well as part of a team. Some career experience of client service and delivery is very useful as this is a practice based role and you will be working on multiple clients. To be considered for this opportunity, you must speak German fluently or at Business proficiency.

An accountancy qualification such as ACA/ACCA/CIMA or working towards one with the supporting practical experience is desirable for this role. You will be supported and developed at Blick Rothenberg by an extensive training programme covering both technical and soft skills development. As a Personal Assistant (PA), you will be key to ensuring the professional effectiveness of the senior leaders you work with. Your main responsibilities will include:

• Organising and preparing meetings including liaising with attendees, room/venue booking, catering, related diary management, note taking, preparing minutes and

As part of your role as an FS Outsourcing Director you will be leading a team of all levels, from trainee to manager. To ensure the accurate and timely delivery of client payrolls, undertake general administrative duties and work collaboratively within the payroll hub.

You will also be responsible for effectively communicating with clients, offices, HMRC and third-party providers.

To make sure we are always giving our clients the best payroll service you will need to keep up to date with all payroll legislation and industry changes though independent research.

You will also be liaising with clients to obtain information and answer technical, payroll related queries; updating payroll for changes in tax codes, attachment orders, student loans and such information from third party sources; keeping accurate records on our internal systems of the correspondence flow and ensuring that information is received in line with the agreed guidelines with each client; reconciling payment to HMRC control accounts; and provision of these deliverables in an accurate and timely way.

• Ensure the accurate and timely delivery of client payrolls to agreed deadlines
• Inputting data for any of the payrolls when necessary, running Audit and validation checks for payroll as well as interfacing of data to General Ledger and Pensions systems
• Monitoring SSP, SMP and other statutory payments and calculations
• Processing accurate and timely year-end reporting when necessary
• Managing any payroll changes to the time and attendance systems (BMS)
• Administer the end-to-end payroll process and auto enrolment compliance for a portfolio of clients
• You will be on hand to answering any payroll related enquiries from clients and being a trusted advisor
• Acting as first line support for pay queries
• Peer checking of payrolls
• Undertake general administrative duties and work collaboratively within the payroll hub
• Develop relationships with clients, ensuring effective communication with the wider offices, HMRC and other third-party providers
• Effectively communicating with team and wider payroll teams
• Requirement to keep up to date with payroll legislation and industry changes though independent research

We are looking for someone who wants to be more than just a team member, but who wants to join a family of likeminded individuals.

• Previous payroll administration experience, minimum of one year service within a busy service driven environment (preferably within a bureau environment).
• End to end Payroll processing experience including pensions, benefits and statutory payments
• High level of accuracy and attention to detail across both manual and systems based work.
• A natural ability to coordinate, prioritise and multitask with little supervision.
• Strong customer focused approach, ability to handle customer queries by telephone and email.
• Be able to adapt to a highly changeable environment.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work under pressure whilst meeting tight deadlines.
• Knowledge and understanding of payroll legislation, processing, and auto enrolment regulations.
• Must have the ability to manually calculate a payroll

A payroll qualification is desirable for this role. You will have strong experience of working within a practice or bureau environment and have exposure to the essential elements of client service and delivery.

As a Management Accountant, you will oversee a portfolio of clients and businesses, responsible for organising client records and completing accurate management accounts, VAT returns and FCA regulatory filings. The main duties of this role are to prepare monthly or quarterly management accounts for clients within the Financial Services. You will also be involved in completing VAT returns, posting month end journals and ad hoc financial tasks/project work i.e. cash flow forecast/budgeting. Our experienced managers will train you up on You will have strong experience of working within practice and have exposure to the essential elements of client service and delivery.

An accountancy qualification such as ACA/ACCA/CIMA/AAT is desirable for this role, however strong part-qualified or QBE candidates would also be considered. Your journey will continue via mentorship by the senior management team to provide soft skills development to include client and staff management. Personal coaching will also be available as your journey continues beyond formal qualifications tailored to your own individual aspirations and can even help you plot your route to Manager/Director/Partner.
