Blick Rothenberg appoint Partners in three key areas

Blick Rothenberg have appointed Partners in private business, technology, and financial services

Blick Rothenberg have appointed Partners in three key areas – private business, technology, and financial services.

Alan Healy has become a Partner in the Private Business team, Nick Winters will head up Technology and Mark Eade becomes a Partner in Financial Services.

Alan Healy has spent his entire career in the Owner Managed Business (OMB) space and has been appointed by Blick Rothenberg to increase their presence in this area.

Alan, who has over 15 years of experience looking after business owners, said: “Understanding the pressures and challenges that business owners face is key to enabling them to meet their goals and aspirations and that is my aim.

“I take a unique approach by acting for the business owner first and their business second. My role as an outsourced Finance Director looks to improve systems, processes and the finances of a business, but they are influenced by the business owners’ aspirations. Blick Rothenberg has an excellent reputation, and I am excited to see it grow the OMB sector.”

Nick Winters has become a Partner in the Audit, Assurance and Advisory team. As part of the Mid-Market Group, he will lead the Technology Sector Team and aims to make Blick Rothenberg the ‘go to’ advisory firm for scaling technology companies, especially those with international interests or aspirations.

Nick said: “Recent data has revealed that London is the most AI-driven city worldwide, the best city in the world for female entrepreneurs and the best capital city worldwide to impress business clients. I want us to be the go-to advisory firm supporting tech companies here.

“My experience is wide-ranging. I have specialised in the Technology Sector for over 20 years, leading each of my recent former firm’s technology sector groups.

“Blick Rothenberg was probably the only firm that I would have joined at this time – it is the right size and the Partner group and team have the right attitude. It felt like the right time to take on a new challenge.”

Mark Eade joined Blick Rothenberg as a tax Partner to focus on financial services businesses, with a particular focus on funds, including driving the UK reporting fund offering forward, after spending 21 years with Smith and Williamson who he joined as a graduate in 2001.

Mark said: “I can leverage my significant experience in this area to provide leading support to businesses, including advising on structuring, conversions to reporting funds, fund of funds, through to wider considerations for investors.

“Given the evolving tax landscape in the UK over recent years, we have seen an increase in appetite for UK reporting fund status and the importance of maintaining it.”

Mark’s remit will include looking at the wider fund landscape and will continue his involvement with groups and HMRC regarding the potential amendments and introductions of new fund structures, which should make the UK an overall more competitive place for locating certain types of funds and asset classes.

Nimesh Shah, CEO at the firm, said: “I am delighted to welcome Alan, Nick and Mark to Blick Rothenberg, and their addition to the BR team represents strategic investment across our key market focuses in private business, technology and financial services.

He added: “Alan, Mark, and Nick bring very different experiences which will add to the strength of our existing team. I am personally looking forward to working with each of them, as Blick Rothenberg continues to develop its long-term growth plans.”
