Blick Rothenberg CEO
I was appointed CEO in August 2020, having joined Blick Rothenberg in 2012 and become a Partner in 2014. Under my leadership, the firm has continued to invest in its people, technology and client proposition, further strengthening its position as one of the UK’s leading tax, accounting and business advisory firms.
As CEO of Blick Rothenberg, I am passionate about creating an environment where talented people can build rewarding careers, deliver exceptional client service and contribute to the long-term success of the firm. My ambition is to ensure the next generation of leaders has even greater opportunities than those afforded to me throughout my own career. At the heart of that ambition is a belief that exceptional client service, delivered consistently and with genuine care, should define everything we do.
My professional background is in private client and entrepreneurial taxation. I have more than 20 years’ experience advising entrepreneurs, business owners, high-net-worth individuals and internationally mobile clients on their personal and business affairs. I specialise in the interaction of personal and corporate tax matters, helping clients navigate every stage of the business lifecycle, from start-up and growth through to succession planning, transaction support and business exit.
Alongside my role at Blick Rothenberg, I am Chair of the Global Executive Board of Allinial Global, one of the world’s leading associations of independent accounting and advisory firms. Working with member firms across more than 100 countries, I help shape strategy and support collaboration across an international network serving businesses and private clients around the world.
I am a regular commentator on UK tax policy, entrepreneurship and business issues, contributing to national newspapers, personal finance publications, radio and television, as well as speaking at a wide range of industry events. I also maintain a strong interest in tax policy and regularly contribute to consultations and stakeholder discussions with HM Treasury and HM Revenue & Customs, advocating for a simpler and more competitive tax system that supports investment, growth and entrepreneurial success.
Although my responsibilities today extend far beyond client work, I remain passionate about advising private clients and entrepreneurs. One of the proudest moments of my professional career was being named Private Client Accountant of the Year at the 2022 Spear’s Awards, widely regarded as one of the most prestigious recognitions in the private client profession. The award reflected my commitment to maintaining a hands-on advisory role while also leading the firm as CEO.
My work has also been recognised by a number of leading industry publications, including eprivateclient’s 50 Most Influential Private Client Professionals and Spear’s rankings of leading advisers to high-net-worth individuals.
I am committed to developing the next generation of leaders, creating opportunities for talented people to fulfil their potential and ensuring our profession continues to evolve to meet the needs of a changing world. I believe the future of professional services lies in combining technical excellence with innovation, collaboration and a genuine commitment to people. Today, my focus is on building an ambitious, modern and inclusive firm where both our people and our clients can thrive.
