I have worked in personal tax in practice for over 20 years with a broad range of experience. I started in 1997 as a trainee accountant with a firm in my home town. After a couple of years, I was given the opportunity to move into personal tax and I have never looked back. I enjoy the challenge of keeping up to date with changes to the tax legislation and broadening my experience in new areas, coupled with advising clients in way that so they can understand their tax affairs.
My main focus since 2008 has been dealing with the personal tax affairs of non-UK domiciled individuals including multi-generation family groups, private equity individuals, and senior executives, including UK resident and non-UK resident directors. Within these, there was a broad range of new arrivals to the UK to deemed-UK domiciled individuals, many which had settled/were beneficiaries of offshore trusts and who had interests in non-UK companies.
