Agricultural Property Relief and Business Property Relief Reform
The Government is set to introduce reforms to Business Property Relief (BPR) and Agricultural Property Relief (APR) from 6 April 2026.
This is a hugely significant change for business and farm owners. Those impacted should carefully consider their position with a view to mitigating the potential impact on their heirs, as well as the business, farm or agricultural land in question.
Join Kelly Greig, Suzanne Briggs and Chris Boulet to understand the changes and their implications for tax planning and estate management strategies.
We will consider:
- Overview and impact of the proposed APR and BPR reforms
- Key steps clients should be taking to ensure business continuity when the changes come into effect
- Planning considerations including Inheritance Tax liability, life insurance, trusts, ownership, lifetime gifts, divestment and emigration
There will also be a Q&A session at the end for you to ask our expert panel of speakers any questions you may have concerning the changes.
