Robert Pullen, partner, said in Blick Rothenberg’s private client team said: “I am delighted that Entrepreneurs’ Relief will be retained, albeit with a doubling of the qualifying period from one year to two years. For most business owners this should not cause a significant issue, but it should not be overlooked.”
Nimesh Shah, another partner in the private client team commented: “Extending the minimum holding period to two years for Entrepreneurs’ Relief is unlikely to affect many. It is an unnecessary change in response to a negative suggestion to abolish the relief completely.”
