Global employment advice for a top 10 charity

Coordination of global employees

Our client is a large, international humanitarian organisation. It is a top 10 charity and has an international workforce.

The challenge

When they came to us, the INGO had over 20 people working across 15 countries but without a corporate presence in those countries. They were therefore looking for a global mobility tax advisor to ensure that they and each employee were compliant with local tax, social security and payroll obligations.

How did Blick Rothenberg help?

We reviewed each employee’s circumstances individually to assess their employment position as well as the requirements within the country in which they were operating. We documented this and reported back to our client with a clear and cost-effective solution for the organisation. We used our expansive global network and drew on local expertise to ensure complete compliance across all the charity’s international operations. This involved a high level of coordination and the full use of our breadth of expertise in the UK.

The outcome

The INGO now has a long-term solution in place for the coordination of their global employees, and complete transparency over the requirements within each country in which they operate.
