I am a Chartered Accountant and joined Blick Rothenberg in 2018 upon their acquisition of Hazlems Fenton, a firm I founded with two other partners in 1983.
I qualified with a medium sized practice and then moved to KPMG’s London office where I carried out work on mergers and acquisitions and a number of special projects. I subsequently left to join N M Rothschild in their asset management department. I was PA to a director and represented N M Rothschild at meetings on their equity based funds.
As a founding partner of Hazlems Fenton I gained a great deal of experience in developing the business and growing it into a successful accountancy practice. I draw upon this experience to provide my own corporate clients with strategic accountancy advice, helping them to grow their businesses or to ensure a tax-efficient exit.
In addition to advising businesses, I founded the litigation support department of Hazlems Fenton and have prepared many reports to assist the court in litigation disputes as well as attending court as a forensic expert witness. One career highlight for me was acting as an expert witness to achieve substantial damages for a small business against a multinational company which was represented by a Big 4 accountancy firm.
I was a Director of Robert Walters PLC for 22 years and have extensive experience in the recruitment sector. I also have a number of clients in the property and media sectors. I have been a trustee of a number of substantial charities and act for many organisations in the not for profit sector.
I attend a number of client board meetings assisting in strategic development and direction of their organisations.
I enjoy being part of the quality accountancy team that we have here at Blick Rothenberg, where we really do strive to support our clients to the very best of our abilities through a mixture of both technically astute and thoughtful advice.
