I thrive on developing people and helping my colleagues to grow their careers.
I am Blick Rothenberg’s Chief Financial Officer and I joined the firm in April 2019 having been Group Financial Controller for the wider CogitalGroup.
I have many years’ experience in finance, having accidentally fallen into the profession post-degree when a short-term project accountant role became a career.
I soon progressed up the finance ranks and have been responsible for, amongst other things, managing the financials on behalf of the national Building Schools for the Future portfolio at Atkins, implementing an innovative financial analysis function at the Medical & Service Division of Olympus, and leading on all aspects of financial reporting and analysis for Countrywide plc.
Given my experience in deploying financial efficiencies across businesses, I’ve spoken at various conferences on financial planning and analysis issues and the use of IT in the finance function.
Career highlights for me include mentoring staff members who have gone on to become successful in their own right and concluding a debt refinancing package for a firm which resulted in many jobs being saved.
I thrive on developing people and helping my colleagues to grow their careers. That is why I enjoy working with Blick Rothenberg – a firm which shares the values of the wider CogitalGroup in placing an emphasis on developing people and treating all staff equally.
This results in a firm where its people take huge pride in their work, which benefits staff and clients alike.
