I take great pride in seeing our clients develop, and assisting them with both compliance and transactional activity which can ultimately be transformative to the business and its owners.
I have been with Rees Pollock since 2006 when I re-joined from EY, having previously trained with the firm. I became a partner in 2011 and the firm was acquired by Blick Rothenberg in 2019.
I work on a diverse range of clients including financial services entities, film and media groups, property companies, software developers, restaurant chains and high-end retailers.
I work predominantly in audit, working with financial services, inward investment, SME and not-for-profit entities. The commercial range of these enterprises is quite wide, but includes film production and distribution activities, restaurant chains and franchises, software development, consulting and education, economic research services, property, hedge fund management and private equity and venture capital vehicles.
A common thread in all of these areas is to deliver the audit in as timely and efficient manner as possible. Critical to this is the partner-led planning process to ensure that the work is directed in the most productive and risk-sensitive manner. At the same time, I always encourage clients to contact us with any concerns or issues they are experiencing so we can mitigate any audit issues which may arise from these.
As the office’s financial reporting partner I also deal with a number of technical queries, and have experience in dealing with GAAP conversions, including those associated with the listing process.
I see a key part of this role, both with clients and in the office, as trying to make some of the more technical aspects of accounting standards understandable to those who come up against them less frequently. This is also pertinent to my audit work.
Overall, I take great pride in seeing our clients develop, and assisting them with both compliance and transactional activity which can ultimately be transformative to the business and its owners.
Outside of work I am married with two daughters, and face an almost daily battle to prevent us taking in more rescue cats. I still occasionally turn out for a Vets football team and am trying to keep up running to stay fit.
