Avoiding costly VAT errors in cross border transactions

On 15 April 2015 Blick Rothenberg hosted a VAT workshop run and organised by UK Training (Worldwide) Limited. The workshop was facilitated by international VAT specialist Kevin Guy and gave those dealing with VAT on an international level the chance to gain further insight into the often confusing subject of VAT and cross-border transactions.

Alan Pearce, VAT partner at Blick Rothenberg, and Alex Altmann, senior manager at Blick Rothenberg, both international VAT consultants, joined the workshop panel to offer their expert opinions on the topics covered and to provide answers to any questions delegates had on the complex VAT scenarios that were explored throughout the afternoon.

Feedback from the workshop was excellent, with delegates benefiting from Kevin, Alan and Alex’s expertise. Speaking on the workshop, Alan Pearce commented “As well as the technical content, the workshop challenged delegates to consider the commercial and contractual aspects of the transactions to ensure the optimum VAT treatment”.

Alex Altmann added “I was involved in very interesting discussions with the delegates and I had the impression that everyone found the practical approach of the seminar useful”.
