 Partner profiles: Steven
Bruck
 Steven Bruck offers general commercial and corporate
finance advice to Blick Rothenberg's clients. As a German speaker, he also
assists many European clients establish and develop their businesses in the UK.
Steven was for many years head of corporate
finance for another major UK accounting firm, and both there and at BR, he has
gained considerable experience of cross-border transactions, ranging from
acquisitions by substantial multinationals to transactions involving small and
medium-sized family businesses.
Recent transactions on which Steven has
taken a lead advisory role have ranged from the purchase of a contracting
company in the building industry for £750,000 to the sale of a
longstanding private company client to a global multinational for a sum in
excess of £500 million.
Advice to German companies setting up in
the UK has covered many industries, ranging from automotive parts to paints and
furniture and currently including many companies engaged in e-commerce and
service industries.
Steven was, for some years, Chairman of a
substantial private company and lectures regularly on accounting and corporate
finance matters. He is a regular media commentator on business issues, and has
appeared on tv (BBC1 Business Breakfast) and radio (LBC, News
Direct). He has a Masters degree in Accounting and Finance and is a Fellow
of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales.
Steven was born in 1947 and has been a
partner in professional practice since 1978, joining Blick Rothenberg in 1997.
He and wife Miriam live in north London and have two children. Steven is
actively engaged as a member of the Board of a registered charity. He enjoys
going to the theatre and concerts, and admits to being a bit of a 'foodie'. He
and his wife have travelled far and wide over recent years, not just in Europe,
but also Australia, China and South America. |
