Mike Scoltock

Mike joined Blick Rothenberg in 2006, as a corporate tax partner. He started out within a specialist tax department at what is now a Big 4 firm, where he worked for five years advising on a whole range of corporate and personal, UK and international tax matters. During this period he was a regular lecturer and writer on the firm's corporate and VAT training programme and advised numerous prominent companies and individuals. Mike continues to lecture and write on tax matters today.

Mike moved on to become a freelance tax consultant and senior tax adviser both in commerce and in practice. During this period he advised a range of clients, primarily on capital gains tax planning, share and share option incentive schemes and benefits, and remuneration planning.

With over 20 years commercial tax experience, Mike is frequently consulted by other practices on technical issues. He continues to advise on both direct and indirect UK and overseas tax issues, specialising in remuneration planning, merger and acquisitions, international tax, capital taxes and VAT.

Mike lives in Surrey and has two main interests outside work. For many years he has represented his county in Tournament Bridge. Mike is also a passionate supporter of his local rugby club.
