 Financial Planning: Why
Blick Rothenberg?
We believe that your personal financial
planning should be handled 'in the round', so that tax planning and investment
strategies are devised and maintained side by side; rather than as separate
and, perhaps, conflicting disciplines. We are one of the few accountancy
practices in the UK that offers fee-based financial planning advice as an
integral part of our Private Client Department's services, working closely with
our tax specialists.
We first gain a thorough understanding of
your existing financial position and future needs, researching all the relevant
options available to you and then helping you to reach an informed decision.
Where appropriate, our relationship can be ongoing and proactive, rather than
being structured around an annual review meeting.
We also understand the need for our
services to be easily accessible and cost-effective. Our
Online Valuation
Service enables you to obtain up to date pension portfolio valuations at
any time. Our fee-based charges are transparent and value for money.
 Independent Financial
Advice
As a firm of Chartered Accountants, our advice is
truly impartial and professional - we act solely in your best interests and are
not restricted to the products and services of only one or a few
companies.
 Expert Advice
Our financial advisory and administrative staff hold relevant
professional qualifications, as well as undertaking continuous professional
development in accordance with the Financial Services Authority's Training and
Competence regime.
 Quality
Research
We don't expect you to simply take our word for it,
when giving you advice. All our recommendations are confirmed in writing, often
as part of a comprehensive review and report service. We will always give you
the reasons for our recommendations, why we consider our advice to be suitable
for you and how we have reached our conclusions. However, we do our best to
ensure that our reports are concise, easy to understand and jargon free. We do
not believe in restricting you to a selected list of managed funds or products
and we use our specialist systems to research and compare the entire
market.
 Fee-Based Advice
In order to avoid any conflict of interest and to assure you
that our advice is both objective and impartial, we charge for our services on
a pure fee basis. In the event that it is appropriate to use financial products
as part of our advice package, any commission generated by our advice is
credited to you and can be used to help offset our costs or improve the
contract terms. It often comes as a surprise to our clients how wide-ranging
fee-based advice can be; as well as often proving considerably more transparent
and cost-effective than paying for advice by commission.
 Ongoing Reviews & Online
Valuations
We deal with clients rather than customers
and, therefore, do not offer an 'execution only' or non-advice service, since
we believe that comprehensive advice is essential for effective financial
planning. Following the implementation of your initial instructions, we will
agree your personal requirements in respect of ongoing advice and future
reviews. This ensures that our advice avoids becoming out of date, or
inappropriate for your changing circumstances.
 Reputation
We have a longstanding reputation as accountants and personal
financial planning specialists and several of our Partners and advisers are
acknowledged experts in their fields, as evidenced by the firm's regular
contributions in the national and financial press, TV and radio.
 Statutory & Professional
Regulation
We are authorised and regulated by the
Financial Services
Authority in the conduct of investment business and are covered by the
Financial
Ombudsman Service (for eligible complainants). In addition, we are also
subject to the regulations and code of conduct laid down by the
Institute of Chartered
Accountants in England & Wales.
