Blick Rothenberg is proud to support St. Christopher’s Hospice in South London as our 2010/11 charity of the year.
St. Christopher’s Hospice provides palliative care services to a population of approximately 1.5 million people living across South East London, Bromley and Croydon. St. Christopher’s offers a wide variety of services to their patients as well as services to the families of those who have a lifelong illness. The services offered include home care, inpatient care, outpatient clinics, library facilities, creative learning & therapy and bereavement support.
In April 2010, Blick Rothenberg employees were given the opportunity to nominate and then vote for a charity that the firm would support for the next 12 months. St. Christopher’s Hospice was chosen for the second consecutive year, for the caring and compassionate work it delivers to those who need it most.
A series of fundraising activities are planned throughout 2010/2011.
In 2009/10, various fundraising activities were undertaken. These included:
- The Three Peaks Challenge. Nine Blick Rothenberg staff climbed to the summit of the highest peaks in England (Scarfell Pike), Scotland (Ben Nevis) and Wales (Snowdon)….all within 24 hours!
- A St Christopher’s Hospice charity day – aimed at raising as much money as possible through fundraising activities such as a cake sale and raffle
- The J.P.Morgan Corporate Challenge, a 5.6km run around Battersea Park
