Founded in 1899 in Germany, it wasn't until 1963 that they made the decision to come to the UK. One of the first steps Miele took when deciding to come to the UK was to seek the advice of Blick Rothenberg, who helped provide guidance on all aspects of entering the UK market, including corporate entity formation and other fiscal requirements.
Simon Grantham CEO, said of the relationship: “As someone who is fairly new to Miele, I have been impressed by the quality of our advisers, in particular the general business support and advice we receive from Blick Rothenberg.”
Miele continues to experience great success, and recently launched a new collection of built-in cooking appliances, Generation 5000. Miele also recently won Which? Magazine’s ‘Best Domestic Appliance Brand 2007’ and were named as a winner of the 'Best Company' category in Germany’s ‘Best Brands Awards 2007’. Miele toppled the previous year's winner, Google, who came in second, and Porsche, who were third.
Blick Rothenberg still handles Miele's annual audit and accounts, as well as undertaking special projects as and when needed, allowing them to concentrate fully on their core competencies. Following the 2007 audit, the Finance Director, commented: "We have received a great service from Blick Rothenberg over the last 45 years and they continue to help move our business forward by allowing us to concentrate on what we do best."
