One of the final pieces of the Companies Act 2006, the new concept of a director's service address, was brought into effect on 1 October 2009.
From this date, every director will have two addresses filed at Companies House: a usual residential address (as now); and a service address. Only the service address will be seen by the general public (although it will be possible to see the residential address given on old documents already in the public file).
