During yesterday’s UK Autumn Statement the Chancellor of the Exchequer announced further changes to the taxation of residential property, introducing a Capital Gains Tax (CGT) for non-resident individuals, and a surprising change to the rules on main residence relief. The latter will have a significant impact for UK residents.
